Started to read Mr. Bridge by Evan S. Connell

Made several batches of chicken stock

Received a quick but polite rejection

Sent an angry tweet to Marco Rubio

A successful day, I think.

Late in the day addendum:  Okay, no joke, I just received notice that one of my stories received an Honorable Mention in Glimmer Train’s Nov/Dec Very Short Fiction Contest. This is pretty damn exciting, even if Honorable Mention does not include payment or publication.
